Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that Libya should not turn into an arena for warlords and terrorist organizations, reiterating that his country will continue to stand with the Libyans at its full potential.

"We have said from the beginning that the Libyan crisis would not be resolved through military means," Erdogan told reporters after meeting Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

"Ankara's efforts are directed towards achieving a permanent ceasefire in Libya," he added.

For his part, President Tebboune said that he had agreed with Erdogan to implement the conclusions of the Berlin conference and to proceed towards a peace settlement in Libya.
