The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Libya said that it had participated in Eid Al-Fitr celebration prayers with the Libyan-Palestinian community at Martyr’s Square in the Capital, Tripoli.

The embassy stated on its official Facebook page that the Eid sermon focused on the victory, support and solidarity of the Libyan people with their Palestinian brothers and those struggling in Jerusalem and Gaza with pride and compassion.

It denounced the actions of the Israeli occupiers, who conducted launching raids on civilians, displacing people in the vicinity of the Holy City, calling on the international community to stop this aggression on Gaza and all other sacred Islamic sanctuaries in Palestine.

The statement also mentioned that the Mayor of the Tripoli municipality affirmed full support with the Palestinian community residing in Libya in all respects, praising the Palestinian-Libyan union until the eventual defeat of the occupation and victory of the State of Palestine with its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
