The General Director of the High National Elections Commission, Saeed Algusbi, confirmed that the commission is ready to hold elections in December to aid the country out of the current crisis despite all the pressures that they are going through.

Algusbi’s statement came in reaction to Paris declaration issued on Tuesday, which included eight terms which were agreed upon by the Libyan rivals.

The Libyan rivals agreed to hold parliamentary and presidential elections simultaneously on December 10.

Algusbi stated that once the House of Representatives passes the election law, the commission will begin to prepare and work with every effort to resolve the current crisis and elect one body to resolve the crisis of multiple governments, as he put it.
