A high-ranking government delegation from Egypt will pay a visit to Tripoli on Sunday, in the first formal visit for Egyptian government officials to Tripoli in years, The Libya Observer has learned.

A high-profile Government of National Accord source, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Libya Observer that the Egyptian delegation will meet with the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj to discuss the latest developments in Libya.

The source said the delegation will be the Head of Libyan File at the Egyptian Presidency, Deputy Chief of Egyptian Intelligence Ahmed Badea, and top Foreign Ministry as well as Intelligence officials.
