The Director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Bader Al-Din Al-Najjar, said that Egypt adamantly refused to cooperate with Libyan authorities in testing returning Libyans for the Coronavirus, under the pretext of ‘Egyptian National Security’.
Al-Najjar added, in a press statement, that Egypt does not want to reveal the true numbers of those infected with the virus, as this may indeed reflect on the number infected, per capita, in Egypt.
Meanwhile, nine citizens who arrived at Misrata International Airport without proper testing, have all subsequently tested negative for COVID-19.
