Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and European Council President Charles Michel have agreed to continue support for the political settlement in Libya.

The two leaders met in the Belgian capital, Brussels, on Wednesday.

Discussions focused on EU-Egyptian coordination on major regional issues addressed at international forums, including the situation in Libya, the Egyptian presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.

They also stressed the importance of strengthening channels of consultation between the two sides in regard to the Libyan crisis.
