The Ministry of Education denied on Tuesday the news that had been rolled out through social media that accused the Minister of Education of eliminating Arabic grammar from the curriculum, stressing that these allegations are baseless and totally untrue.

On its Facebook page, The ministry explained in a statement that the minister issued a directive to form a committee comprising professors specialized in Arabic language, experts from the Curricula and Educational Research Center, teachers and inspectors to develop educational programmes in order to make them more conducive to the students age and would contribute in building their educational capacity.

The statement added that the current educational curriculum suffers from repetition and redundancies which placed a tremendous burden on school population and had its negative results in the recent years, noting that the new curriculum aims to promote the Arabic language and help improve children's reading skills.
