The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has referred the Minister of Economy of the Presidential Council, Nasser Al-Dersi, to the Attorney General for investigation on corruption charges.

The NACC reported on their official Facebook account on Wednesday that the referral also includes heads of the Budget Supervision Committee and the Budget Implementation Committee of the Ministry of Economy.

The NACC called on Attorney General to suspend the assignees from work and demand them to turn in their financial statements.

It is worth noting that Transparency International considered Libya in its report for the year 2017 as one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
