The Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, said that Turkey is presently communicating with the eastern side of Libya.

He added during a press conference held on Wednesday that a representative of the Speaker of Tobruk-based House of Representatives, Aqailah Saleh, paid a visit to Turkey recently.

Cavusoglu noted that Saleh had planned to send his deputy on the visit to Turkey; however, this did not happen, as he put it, sending another representative in his place.

On the issue of the recent visit of the Egyptian delegation to Libya, Cavusoglu explained that Cairo sent a delegation to Libya after a long period of absence and that this visit bears no relevance to the visit of the Turkish Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar to Libya, which happened to coincide with the visit.
