Italian Prime Minister, Mario Draghi and Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov discussed on Friday, the situation in Libya and the latest developments in Afghanistan.

The two sides stressed the need to continue the Libyan political dialogue sponsored by the United Nations since the Geneva meeting.

They also discussed the Libyan elections scheduled for the end of next December and the need for a quick withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces from the country.
