Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) reported that it had rescued 292 illegal immigrants, including children and pregnant women from off the coast of Libya, in two separate operations.

In a statement, the MSF said that its humanitarian vessel Aquarius rescued two 253 migrants in the first operation and 39 39 vulnerable people in the second one, clarifying that the migrants were found on a rubber boat, 24 miles off the coast of Libya.

The MSF notified that the Libyan Coast Guard intercepted more than 100 migrants in the Mediterranean Sea and returned them to Libya.
