The city of Zawiya will host Sunday the second meeting between the warring parties in Tripoli, the Mayor of the city Jamal Bahr confirmed Saturday.

The meeting is to follow up the latest truce developments and establish a mechanism to bring the fighting to a halt once and for all.

"The truce is progressing well," Bahr explained in a statement, stressing that the fighting parties are willing for reconciliation and have no desire to take up arms again.

The city of Zawiya, west of Tripoli, hosted on 4 September a meeting between military and civilian leaders under the auspices of the (UNSMIL), in which it managed to secure a ceasefire between the conflicting parties.
