The Charge d’Affairs of the Russian Embassy in Libya, Jamshid Poltaev, expressed On Tuesday his aspiration to move to begin work from Tripoli, praising the efforts of the Presidential Council (PC) in pushing for the elections to be held in December.

This came during Poltaev’s meeting with the Vice-President of the PC, Abdullah Al-Lafi in Tunisia, where they both discussed the latest developments on the political scene in Libya, particularly the file of the elections to be held next December, according to a statement issued by the PC.

In turn, Al-Lafi praised the relations and joint cooperation between Russia and Libya along with Russia’s role in the Libyan situation and expressed Libya’s hopes to increase cooperation between both countries, according to the statement.
