Member of the Shura Council of Derna, Saad Habel, said on Saturday that Dignity Operation militants are continuing to prevent the families, trapped at the neighbouring town of Kirissah for several days, from returning to the city.
Habel explained that the militants closed the dirt road on the coast of Kirissah and tried to expel the trapped families from a mosque where they have been waiting for three days to return to their homes in Derna.
He added that Dignity Operation militants have also prevented ambulances and all humanitarian cases from exiting Derna, which led to a further deterioration in the humanitarian situation in the city.
