The head of the Derna Local Council, Awad al-Airaj, confirmed the entry of 11 thousand bags of flour to the city on Tuesday, through the land border checkpoint of Martuba town.

Al-Airaj added that the city is suffering from a severe shortage of flour, which is resulting in a high price for bread, adding that 40 bakeries have had to close due to all flour stocks running out.

Dignity Operation forces have been preventing goods and food from entering the city for more than four months.
