Moroccan illegal immigrants at Tripoli Detention Center have declared an open hunger strike to protest their country’s failure to facilitate their return back home.

The Illegal Immigration Agency in Tripoli said the immigrants started their hunger strike on October 12 after their country rejected to take the necessary procedures to repatriate them via Mitiga Airport.

In a video posted online, one of the Moroccan immigrants appealed to his government to intervene and help around 70 immigrants to go back home.
