The Scout Movement of Derna launched a campaign on Saturday to cleanse and sterilize public places in the wake of coronavirus scare.

"The campaign will target public places and government facilities, in addition to mosques and other gathering places," the movement said on Facebook.

The scouts posted images on their Facebook account during their work, showing the volunteers sterilizing grocery stores, parks, Mosques, and etc., expressing their willingness to subordinate themselves fully to the homeland and safeguard public health, according to their statement.

The Presidential Council has approved a number of measures to combat the threat of COVID 19 outbreak, including suspending classes and closing the country's outlets, in addition to delaying cultural and sports activities.
