The Gathering of Derna People (GDP) has stressed keenness on dialogue and a comprehensive national reconciliation in an effort to lift the siege on the city.
The GDP stressed that the siege imposed on the city has greatly affected their economic and social lives.
It denied that it belongs to any political party or aspire to achieve any special gains, adding that their main goal is to achieve a comprehensive national reconciliation.
It is worth noting that Derna has been suffering a full siege for more than a year and a half, which is imposed by Dignity Operation forces.
Dignity forces have closed off all roads in and out of the city and prevented fuel, cash and commodities from entering, which has resulted in dire economic and health conditions for the residents.
