Derna fighters repel Dignity Operation attack

Fighters of Derna Shura Council repelled Wednesday an attack by Omar Mukhtar Operations Room of Dignity Operation in Dahr al-Hamr area, south of Derna, on Wednesday.

Dignity Operation field hospital announced the death of the commander of Awlia Dam (blood owners) brigade, Faraj Zaidan, in addition to five others being wounded.

The media office spokesman of Shura Council, Mohammed Al-Mansouri, denied the killing or wounding of any of their forces in the clashes.

The clashes took place on Wednesday morning and lasted for approximately five hours, during which Dignity Operation forces used heavy artillery under the air cover of helicopters, yet failed to make any progress on the ground.
