Zawiya residents held demonstrations in the city’s main square and condemned the arrest of three Zawiyans, Mohammed Khadrawi, Mahmoud BinRajab and Hassan Azayat, arrested by Saudi Arabian authorities.

The men were subsequently handed to the Interior Ministry of the eastern Libyan government of Abdullah Thini, who is detaining them in the eastern prison of Qurnada, known for countless human rights violations.

The people of the Zawiya demanded that the Presidential Council of the UN proposed government to intervene urgently to return the detainees to their city and families.
