The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said: “No foreign forces or mercenaries shall remain on Libyan soil,” adding, “we will make the elections a reality and will never block Libya’s desire to achieve this.

In a speech, following his return from New York, where he participated in the Security Council session on Thursday, July 15, Dbeibah said: “Libya did not have a very influential affect at the Security Council session and we confirmed, during our presence, that we represented ourselves, without guidance or direction by any individual or entity.”

He continued: “We called for activating sanctions against the instigators guilty of obstruction to pushing for peace and success, both at home and abroad and we were delighted to find great support from the international community,” as he put it.
