The African Intelligence website confirmed that the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibah is due to visit Morocco on Sunday, June 27, after the Kingdom of Morocco boycotted the Berlin II Conference, which was organized by Germany and the United Nations (UN).

The French website indicated that Dbeibah is expected to meet with the Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nassar Bourita, on what is to be his first official visit to Morocco since he took office last March, and further indicated that Dbeibah is due to travel on to Cairo, however, no further details were given.

Africa Intelligence also stated that Morocco has been attempting for more than one year to return strongly to the Libyan file, as Morocco was the original host in talks in Bouznika, which served as a prelude to the negotiations conducted under the auspices of the UN, leading to the formation of the GNU.
