Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah reiterated on Wednesday the crucial role of the political parties in advancing the electoral process and holding the polls on due time.
PM Dbeibah's remarks came during a meeting on Wednesday with several political parties in the framework of his initiative (restoring the trust to the people), according to a statement by the Hakomitna platform.
He reviewed with them the form of support the government could provide for political parties, in order to create a democratic competitive environment away from external funding.
In conclusion, the participants agreed to hold a gathering grouping the licensed parties, to set out amendments for the executive regulations of the parties, in addition to proposing memberships for the National Committee assigned to implement the PM's plan concerning the holding of elections.
