The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, made an inspection visit to the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) on Tuesday, June 29, discussing with its officials, reasons for deterioration of services during the recent period.

During the meeting, Dbeibah stressed the necessity for daily follow-up to the emergency plan approved by the government, stressing that the GNU, the Audit Bureau and the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), provided all the essential facilities for the company to succeed, according to a statement issued by the GNU.

On his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the GECOL, Wiam Al-Abdali, confirmed that there has been an improvement in the services provided by the company, which he hopes will continue during the coming months, according to the emergency plan approved last April.
