The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, stressed that the electricity file is a top priority for the GNU’s work, despite the lack of approval of the budget, saying that it is working to implement an urgent plan submitted by the General Electricity Company of Libya (GEOCL).

This came during a meeting with the head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, where both parties discussed the urgent plan of the GECOL and the maintenance and network development projects, agreeing on the necessity to hold periodic meetings during the coming period in order to follow up on progress.

The meeting was attended by the head of the GECOL’s management committee, Wiam Al-Abdali along with various directors of the company’s departments.
