Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has reiterated the need for all government institutions to adhere to the principle of transparency during a meeting with Saddek Elkaber, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) on Thursday.

A statement by the PM head media office said Dbeibah met with Elkaber, at the CBL HQ in Tripoli to follow up on issues related to public spending.

According to the same source, the two sides emphasized the importance to make the information on public spending accessible and for government institutions to issue monthly reports on their expenditures.

Dbeibah valued the CBL's work with the National Oil Corporation and the Ministry of Finance on matching oil revenues and implementing the institution’s exceptional budget to increase production, as well as the bank's efforts in completing public expenditures and salaries of state employees during the month of Ramadan.
