The committee for devising parliamentary election laws, which was appointed by Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, convened its first meeting to talk about the draft laws.

The media office of the Justice Ministry said the committee would select professional and experienced members to start drafting the laws for parliamentary elections, after which the committee will hold dialogues among different social parties to discuss the drafted laws.

It also said the committee will consult with the political parties, High Council of State as per the Libyan political agreement. After that, the draft laws would be sent in three weeks’ period to the House of Representatives and relevant authorities for approval.
