The Customs Authority announced on Wednesday that it had seized two separate shipping containers which were carrying alcoholic drinks and narcotic tablets in the Port of Al-Khums.

The initial container which included 36,000 crates of alcoholic beverages, produced in Serbia, whilst the official documents indicated that it was merely juice.

In the second shipping container, the Customs Authority seized a significant amount of tramadol tablets, which were estimated at approximately 950,000 tablets produced in India.

The Customs Authority has taken strict legal measures against those responsible, according to an official announcement.
