The Media Office of the Customs Authority confirmed Sunday the seizure of a twenty-foot container loaded with 186 boxes of alcoholic drinks in the port of Khoms city east of Tripoli.

"The container was supposed to be loaded with photographic papers, but after inspection, it was found contrary to what was registered," the office explained, stressing the transfer of samples of the shipment to the Bureau of Criminal Expertise.

A few days ago, the Customs Authority in Khoms seized a number of containers loaded with armoured military vehicles. The case was referred to the Attorney General, but the consignee party was not disclosed.
