Member of the Crisis and the Displaced Affairs Committee, Khaled Masoud said that until August, about 23,181 families were forced to flee their homes from southern Tripoli, because of clashes.

Massoud clarified in a press statement that 1375 families were housed in accommodation centers, while about 21,806 families were hosted by families or stayed at rental houses.

The Ministry of Social Affairs announced last June that the number of displaced families from areas of armed clashes south of Tripoli has reached about 13 thousand families.
