The Fuel and Gas Crisis Committee said on Friday that a brigade from Nalut town in western Libya has forced a group of Tunisian fuel smugglers in Wazzin town to flee toward the Tunisian territory.
The Committee added that the Nalut brigade stormed the houses of the smugglers in the border town with Tunisia and seized fuel tanks and warehouses of smuggled goods.
Meanwhile, tension in the Tunisian towns near the Libyan border has increased amid acute shortages of fuel supplies following the Committee’s crackdown on smugglers.
