At least four people have been arrested for links with a terrorist organization, the Counter-Terrorism Force Commander Major General Muhammad Al-Zein said on Sunday.

Al-Zein clarified in a statement to the government-run TV channel "Al-Rasmia" that the cell was seized in two separate operations, which took place in the outskirts of Tripoli and Khoms city.

The cell included foreigners among its members who were preparing to carry out terrorist attacks on the Libyan soil, according to Al-Zein.

It may be worth noting that Syrian sources had confirmed to media outlets that the mercenary groups that Russia was sending from the areas controlled by the Syrian regime to Libya to fight with Haftar included former ISIS members.
