The Counter-Terrorism Force expressed its firm rejection of the statements of the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, with respect to the presence of extremists fighting in the ranks of the Libyan army forces in Tripoli, demanding an apology or the disclosure of the names of extremists he referred to.

"The force that fought battles against terrorism in Sirte in 2016 is the same force defending the capital and the gains of the February Revolution now, which was recognized by the international community in 2011," the statement reads.
