The Dean of Benghazi University, Maraei Al-Maghorbi, announced on Monday evening that the university's board of trustees decided to drop the resignation at the request of the students to avoid any delay in the educational process.
This came after a meeting between Benghazi security chief, Wanis Boukhamada and Al-Maghorbi that also included heads of the different university faculties to discuss the decision by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education regarding the dismissal of the Undersecretary of Scientific Affairs, and the assignment of a new person.
The decision to resign, announced by the board of trustees two days ago, was as a result of their denouncement of what was described as interference of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in the Interim Government in terms of the running of University affairs.
