A member of the Advisory Committee to Combat the Coronavirus, Hisham Bin Masoud, explained that the first shipment of the Coronavirus vaccine is due to arrive in Tripoli on April 5.

Bin Masoud said in a press statement that there was an unfortunate delay in the shipment of the Vaccine, which was meant to arrive on April 3; however, it was postponed until April 5.

He noted that the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) will undertake the task of distributing the individual doses, adding that the rate of turnout for registration in the system for those wishing to receive the vaccine remains low.

“The number of registrants has reached 400 thousand, whilst the target is three million,” he concluded.
