The Libyan authorities have evacuated a group of 91 illegal Nigerien immigrants to their country through the voluntary return program in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Hussein al-Turki, head of the illegal immigrants' department at Misrata Airport, said in a press statement staged to cover the deportation process that Misrata International Airport organized Wednesday a flight for illegal migrants to the capital Niamey, within the IOM voluntary return program.
The 91 migrants included six men, 25 women, and 60 children and infants, al-Turki explained.
On Tuesday, 162 Nigerian immigrants returned to their country under the same program via Tripoli's Mitiga airport.
