The officer in charge of the Office of Education in Sabha, Mohammed Ismail, confirmed Sunday the resumption of school classes in the city, after being postponed last week due to the security situation in Sabha.

Ismail clarified that there was a low turnout of students, contributing the weak response to the security situation in the city and the lack of fuel, in addition to a number of schools are being used as shelters for displaced families.

He explained that the Office addressed the Municipal Council to evacuate the schools and provide other places for the families in order to able students to continue their studies in the current academic year.
