Sources in Sabha stated that there were renewed clashes with heavy and medium weapons on Friday between the forces of the 6th Infantry Brigade and gunmen belonging to the tribe of Tabu.
The sources said that the clashes centered in the vicinity of the Sabha Castel when Tabu gunmen attempted to take control of the headquarters of the 6th Brigade, without any details of any losses from either side.
The city of Sabha has been the scene of sporadic clashes between the two sides, during which a number of people were killed and wounded while great efforts from several parties to reconcile and end the conflict are underway.
