The Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al Mahdi commended in a speech marking the 79th anniversary of the establishment of the Libyan army, the efforts of the army forces in repelling the aggression against the capital and defending the legitimate government and the civil state.

The army chief's remarks came during his attendance to a ceremony held for graduating a new class from the Military College and the Air Defense College in Tripoli, where he honored the top ten college graduates and awarded the first class of the Military College, the Medal of Duty.
