The Chairwoman of the Italian energy company Eni, Emma Marcegaglia, has warned of possible negative effects on the company's activities if the current security tension in Libya continues.

"If the situation remains tense, it might, in the medium-term create problems for Eni in Libya," Marcegaglia stated in a press release on the sidelines of the annual Ambrosetti Economic Forum.

However, Marcegaglia stressed that the situation is improving thanks to the truce signed in Tripoli under the auspices of the UNSMIL, noting that the company's production volume of fuel approached the pre-conflict levels.
