The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, met Tuesday at his office with the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Libya Hussain Jaffar in the presence of the Director of the Health System Development Centre in Libya, Samir Saqr.

Al-Sarraj said that Libya is looking forward to more support from the UN institutions, especially, from the WHO, to help in the health sector reform program, stressing that the government is working to achieve some progress in the program with the available funding.

The meeting also discussed a number of cooperation proposals, including the communication between the WHO and the Libyan Health System Development Centre to establish an umbrella organization to regulate all local and international efforts for developing the health system in Libya.

They also agreed on the supplying of medicines and medical equipment for the year 2019 through the WHO program, in addition, the acquisition of vaccines from the UNICEF.
