The Chairman of the National Oil CorporationNOC, Mustafa Sanallah, warned that the situation in the Brega depots is dangerous, urging the parties of the conflict to cease hostilities immediately.
He added that the situation is catastrophic as well for the workers employed at the site, pointing out that the compound of Brega took direct hits, including the Department of Procurement, which was exposed to destruction.
Sanallah called on the international community to put an end to what he called the tampering with the source of livelihood for the Libyan people, noting that fuel and gas are at serious risk of disruption, where the company today is working to only 20% of its capacity.
