Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, issued in his capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Army on Wednesday a decision to exempt Najmi Al-Naku from his position as commander of the Presidential Guard.
The PC decree appointed Major-General Dhiya-Aldeen al-Amrouni as the new commander of the Presidential Guard, calling on the competent authorities to work to implement this resolution and override all inconsistent prior decrees.
The decision comes following the adoption of the security plan of Greater Tripoli prepared by the Security Arrangements Committee.
