A commander in the Sirte Liberation Force, Abdel Hamid Bouziane, confirmed that his forces have arrested a Chadian individual in the Qadahiya area, west of Sirte.
The suspect is accused of actively recruiting other Chadians to join Haftar’s militias as mercenaries. Bouzaine added that the suspect was captured along with three others who are thought to be mercenaries, and preliminary investigations clearly show that he was willing to participate in fighting, having been offered three thousand dinars per week.
Bouzaine stated that investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
