Chad's Minister of Defence, Mahamat Salah has confirmed closing his country's borders with Libya, Sudan, and the Central African Republic for security reasons.

Chad has excluded the trade corridors with the three countries from the decision; among them was the Kouri and Moudi outlet with Libya, according to the Tunisian Shorouq newspaper.

In February, Libya signed the implementing regulations of the Joint Operations Centre for securing the common border with Sudan, Chad, and Niger.
