The Executive Secretary of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) Brigi Rafini has conducted an inspection visit to the block's HQ in Tripoli to assess the possibility of the CEN-SAD mission’s return to function from Libya.

Rafini was accompanied by the ministers of Youth and Housing and Reconstruction, Fathallah Al-Zani and Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi, in addition to the Director of the African Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fateh Bushina.

The interim government (GNU) will facilitate the executive secretariat's return to carry out its tasks from its permanent headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, Rafni confirmed. Meanwhile, housing minister Al-Ghawi emphasized that the place will be ready during the coming period.

On the sidelines of the visit, Rafini met with the block’s employees, who shared their visions and strategies concerning their work from the new HQ.
