The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) confirmed the damage of Al-Hadhba transmission line No. 1 in the south of Tripoli, due to the armed clashes that took place in the region late Tuesday.
The GECOL explained that the damage came after strenuous efforts to maintain and restore stability to the electric grid.
The company stressed that it will not bear responsibility for any collapse that might occur to the electrical network in case of targeting other transmission lines.
