The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Saddek Elkaber stressed in a meeting Sunday with the managers of commercial banks on the need to form task forces and for coordination among commercial banks, in order to ease procedures for citizens and provide them with the necessary services.
The meeting also reviewed the difficulties encountered in conducting clearing transactions between banks in light of the crisis experienced in Tripoli, and barriers and obstacles to providing services to the displaced, stressing the need to find urgent solutions to their plight, including opening special windows to provide them with cash liquidity.
