The head of the National Authority for Combating Corruption (NACC), Noman Sheikh, asked the Ministry of Economy on Wednesday to issue a resolution to determine the prices of goods in the Libyan market.

Sheikh said in a press statement that the NACC has a system ready to determine the prices of food and market goods available in the market.

He called on the Ministry of Economy to activate its departments to follow up and set prices, pointing out that the control authorities could not edit the irregularities of a number of speculators and the lack of decisions to determine prices from the Ministry of Economy.

Sheikh concluded by saying that the NACC is working to prepare a letter to the Presidential Council demanding immediate intervention to issue a list of typical food prices in general, leaving the citizen the freedom of choice according to their income capacity.
