The Burns and Plastic Surgery Hospital in Tripoli has received 23 cases of burns due to the use of fireworks during the "Miloud" - the birth of Prophet Mohammed PBUH- celebrations.

“The injuries ranged from minor to moderate with one case that had to undergo a partial amputation surgery to a finger and thumb and another case of a child under the age of three, who suffered 32% burns on his body and is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit," the hospital explained, noting that the percentage of cases this year was low compared to previous years.
